I do not say: (Alif) is a letter, but: Alif is a letter, and Laam is a letter, and Meem is a letter.”On the authority of Uqbah bin Aamer, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, came out while we were in the rank and said: “Which of you would like to go to the Bathan or the Al-Aqiq every day and bring two she-camels together without sin or severing ties of kinship?” We said: O Messenger of God, we love that.
He said: “Should not one of you go to the mosque and learn, or recite two verses from the Book of God Almighty, that is better for him than two she-camels, and three are better for him than three, and four are better for him than four, and their numbers of camels?” And he, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: A seat in which God was not mentioned, he would be spared from God, and whoever lies down in a bed in which God has not been mentioned, he will be spared from God.”And he, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “No people sit in an assembly in which they do not mention God, and they do not pray for their Prophet except that they are obligated to pay attention.
